Ne Var Ne Yok is a multilingual, interdisciplinary artistic experience that combines music, narrative art and performance art. It takes place in an allegorical world. Funded by Musikfonds.

Başak loves to sing standards with her trio from Turkey, Emre Tankal on the guitar, Alper Yılmaz on the electric bass and Derin Bayhan on the drums. 

A zappa’esque journey where jazz intertwines with progressive rock, theater, and installation art,

leading listeners through diverse metric and timbral landscapes.

Modeled after the Smithsonian’s Fast Folk Musical Magazine, the collective comprised open mic events, radio shows, and recording sessions. Its first (2016) and second (2022) albums featured 23 songwriters in total from around Turkey, garnering praise from the press.
